Upgrading Military Units?

How do I upgrade military units with new arms and armour once I research them?

Where's the manual?

Move them into your territory, then select them. You should have new options to Upgrade Armor or Upgrade Weapons (to see them you might have to select "More Actions"). Be careful, it might be expensive.
