Wont skin the taskbar, Windowblinds 4.4

Well ever since I have installed SP2 it hasnt really been skinning the taskbar, or pretty much anything in the explorer.exe It doesnt skin windows explorer or notepad either. All that changes on those is the color. I tried uninstalling windowblinds then moving the files somewhere else, restarting, and installing again. Well that fixed it, but a little bit, but when I turned on the computer I had the same problem. I don't know what to do.

Yup, thats what I have, how does that change anything though? Well glad you responded, I really want to fix this.

I had the same problem and I fixed it. The combination was amd 64 processor and sp2. SPS activates this service called DEP with amd 64 only that if you turn off fixes the problem. I turned it off by editing the line in system properties, Advanced, startup and recovery that says multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=optin. Change optin to "alwaysoff" and restart
