Windowblinds Longest Unsolved Issue

First I have to give Neil Banfield credit for fixing the Alcohol 120% issue regarding dropped down menu being disabled.

Now we have this problem that affect both Internet Explorer and FireFox Top Bar. It's been going on so long that I think Neil Banfield abandoned it because he could not solve it. On his latest post, he said the following, "

It has come to our attention that some people may have had issues with some apps and WB and opted not to tell anyone about it.

Obviously we would like to know about them so we can resolve the issues."

I was completely wrong about him and the blame is all mine.

As the screenshot shows, when I use the older style top bar on Firefox, it displays the icon and everything goes into place. Internet explorer doesn't give you any option.

While it doesn't matter, I'm using Windows 7 64bit. As long as you're using explorer 9 or latest style of Firefox, if you use skins that use multiple parts for top bar, they won't look right. Windows explorer has no issue itself.

Please check the screenshot for more info.

I have not heard a word from Neil Banfield on the issue. I don't know if he plans to look into the situation or not. It may as well be a known and abandoned issue that can't be fixed, but I hope not. The old skinners had amazing techniques. Windows XP and application back in the old days responded well to Windowblinds’ skinning. Most of the talented skinners today know the How-To, but choose to approach skinning the simplest and most effective way as latest windowblinds can deliver. It seems Windowblinds lost the momentum starting with Vista and its battle to accurately skin Internet Explorer may be unwinnable. Only simple image will rightly skin i.e. tittle right.

But it’s not over until Neil throws the white flag or completely silence himself on the issue within the next 24 hours :w00t: .

I would imagine it is something about that skin and you have not said which skin it is.

It's Metroid Prime WB by Treetog

I know you had the skin back in the day. If you no longer have it, you can have mine. I've never seen so much techniques put into just a tittle bar. Many of his skins use that complex techniques.

Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox no longer support the icon and text on the tittle bar. I know that's part of the problem. If I set Firefox to display the old style as in the screenshot, all look good. Windows Explorer is not affected by the problem.

I wonder if Neil will soon release a beta regarding the issue. So many skins are affected by this situation and it started with IE8 and latest style of FireFox.
