PC stolen

from Stardock Forums

Hi all

 

My PC was stolen last week.  I have a new PC ( also Win XP Pro ) and a backup of my old 'Documents and settings'  and  'Program Files' folders.

 

Can anyone tell me if the settings for ObjectDock and Fences are stored in a file that I can restore to my new PC ?

 

Putting my life back together is taking forever, and a solution here would be a great help.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully this will help:

ObjectDock Settings:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\Application Data\Local\Stardock

Fences Settings:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\Application Data\Stardock\Fences\Backups

Replace the YOUR_USERNAME with your Windows username, and that should get you started.

Tip:

Before running Object Dock the first time, restore your icon images to the same place they were on the other machine.  Otherwise you may likely have to reload them all again within Object Dock.
