I really hope they deliver a great game.  Like 90%+ in the Metacritic type of game.  Anything less than excellent will be a disappointment, I think to both fans and Stardock.

I notice the article talks about "lost faith" and such. In my eyes I never really lost too much faith in Stardock even with Elemental. Why? Because like many Stardock fans, I've been with them and their games for years. They've done a lot of good things. Every person, and every company, makes mistakes. Not every person and especially not every company actually go out of their way to make up for past mistakes.

Most companies, like EA, or even other smaller indie companies, would just write off their failed project, do something else, and wouldn't even bother to even try to make amends to their customers. Brad has proven he puts his money where his mouth is in my eyes. Stardock is eating a huge cost to make their customers happy and to earn back the trust they may have lost with new customers or others who just weren't as devoted to Stardock because they're weren't as invested in their games as others.

I think with FE, Stardock will reap the benefits of what they're doing by giving it to their customers. The positive feedback and the gesture made by the company will earn them dividends in future success.

What's the point to this article, it's not even a review of the beta? It's just talking about everything everyone knows...

I think the only good thing about the article really is that it's getting the name "Fallen Enchantress" out there. Since the game is coming together so well I'd say the next big concern Stardock should have would be to get the word out so people can see for themselves how awesome the game is and how awesome it is that Stardock follows through on what it says.

You're right though it's not really saying anything new.

I don't think I lost faith in Stardock as being an honest and good company, truly wanting to make great games and treating their customers well.  But, I did lose faith in their ability to make a great game.  I still believe that they can, but that belief is weakened with WoM and it's patches.

Off topic , but will there be any future update for Elemental WoM ?

Any bugs left ?

There might be "patches" for WoM still, but I wouldn't expect any content updates aside from what mods are out.

I still crash fairly often.  But, it still has some bugs, sure.  Also, depending on when you last played it, there might  less content in it.  No boats, no minor factions, less armor.  Might as well give it a try yourself.

It's actually a fairly enjoyable game if you load Heavenfall's core mod & at least his artifacts mod.  Use his other Mods if you want but these 2 at a minimum.  He added tons of quest locations & new loot to drop.

His work is very good and you can trust his files.  They really add a lot to the game.  You can always reload E:WOM if you don't like them, but I bet you'll thank him.  Even Brad was impressed (had the posts stickied).

The mod doesn't change the exe.

I noticed a few times they mentioned that the game was just announced, even based some of their writing on that premise. Wasn't Fallen Enchantress announced like, a year ago?

Opps, sorry, my bad.  I edited my post to remove that.  I don't want to spread bad info about your excellent work.

I would say it's been a long time and close to a year, if it hasn't been a year.  Maybe shit doesn't flow far off these forums?

They probably just "officially" announced it.  Long time board creeps have been aware of it for about a year now.
