Problem

Program opens but will not apply...

Please assist me - I have attempted all of the work rounds I can think of. Cursor Fx Plus installs fine and operates, but the cursor choice will not apply. Is this due to an all 64-bit system? Do I need to install Impulse?

Thanks,

Casey

First ... one post is enough. That said ...

I'm running Win7 64 bit Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop. CFX has been on all of my systems, all of which were 64bit, without a problem and I use the free version. Methinks the gremlin passed me by because this isn't the first time others have experienced problems I can't duplicate. Sorry.

I replied to your other post but I will here also.

Can you give more info? What OS? 64/32 bit. Free CFX or paid?

Did it work before and when did it stop?

Will the control panel show/select any previews or cursors?

If the control panel is frozen, one thing you can try is go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\CursorFX and r-click on CursorFX Control Panel.exe. Select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Run in Compatibility mode for Vista (Service Pack 2). Hit Apply, then try launching CFX.

No , Impulse shouldn't be needed unless you installed CFX with it. If so, then you should use it to uninstall CFX, then download CFX from the store and reinstall.

Thanks very much.  I attempted the Control Panel - but the settings doesn't have Windows 7 (I tried others without success).

It works fine on my other computer running 7 Home edition, 32/64 bit... This computer is running Windows 7 Enterprise, 62 bit operating system,

Paid Cursor FX Plus. I downloaded the program to the new computer. It has not operated correctly as yet. I did not download Impulse on this machine at all.

Thanks again,

Casey

If I were you, I'd uninstall it and run ccleaner (free on the net) to clean up the registry and then try to reinstall it.

Sounds like the install might have borked... try it w/o your firewall and a/v.

Alas, I have uninstalled, ran CCleaner and re-installed --  to no avail.

Thank you nonetheless, Casey

A bit more info, please. What make/model of computer is it not working on?

Did you install/run as admin?

Are you installing to your "C" or system drive?

Are you unable to apply ANY cursors, including the ones supplied with CFX?

Have you moved your cursors from the default location in Public Documents?
