stardock central 2.00.296 problem

started stardock central at version 2.00.293 build 61 and it wanted to update to 2.00.296 I said okay and it went through the update process. restarted stardock central and immediately received a connection error 1001. uninstalled stardock central and reinstalled v2.00.293 and it is working fine again. Has anybody else seen this problem?

perhaps its a firewall problem?

I understand the firewall issue but unless they changed ports why would the 2.00.293 work without any problems. It would be easy enough for me to open up a port through my firewall if that is what it is. I support I could run a packet analyzer and see in fact what is going on, just didn't want to go through the trouble. In any event I am running fine with 2.00.293.

I have the same problem, after installing the new version 2.00.296 Build 61
I recieve a connection error 1001 after starting the programm. All proxie settings
are ok, and I even tried to disable my firewall but nothing worked.

Any ideas, anyone ?

just installed 2.00.297 today and all is well again on my xp machine.
