Location of install files?

I want to make sure that the Stardock applications I use often are backed up. I have ODNT and use Stardock Central to download and isntall the apps I use - WB, DesktopX, Keyboard Launcher and sometimes Icon Packager. I noticed that when new versions are installed the previous version is archived by default in \Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\BACKUP. However, these aren't "installers." What I'd like to do if for some reason I need to recover the applications is just run the installer for DX, WB and Keyboard Launcher and not have to use Stardock Central. Is it possible to download the individual installers for each application?

I'm somewhat anal about stuff like this and I like to have an archive of all of my applications and the various versions. If I ever want to go back to a previous version then I have all of my installers saved on a local shared backup drive. It seems that currently if my hard drive blows up the only way to reinstall everything is to run Stardock Central, redownload everything and then reinstall or do take the files from the Backup folder and manually place them in the various directories. Am I missing anything?

SDC is the installer (and the uninstaller) for these programs. You do not need to redownload everything if you have the archives you described. With SDC open, go to the File menu and click on Restore Archive... You can then navigate to the archive you wish to restore. If the archive you wish to restore is not in the default Backup folder, there is a Browse button at the lower left of the Restore Archive window. SDC does not need to be online to use the restore or uninstall features.

P.S. If you wish to, you can also download and store a copy of the SDC installer from Stardock https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/. Or you could download it at anytime in the future if you are concerned about having the latest version, and with your archives, you would then be able to reinstall all of your ODNT products by just downloading SDC.

Thanx for the detailed reply!

So let me run a scenario past you. If I don't renew my ODNT subscription a year from now can I still use SDC to install older versions? 1.5yrs from now can I install SDC on a newly built machine, choose the restore option and then point it at an older version that is backed up? I'm just wondering, if I buy DesktopX by itself I will get a link to the DesktopX installer file. I'd prefer to just have that EXE installer file.

Your OD subscription may expire, but you always own what you have up until that point. If for example, WindowBlinds get to version 5 while you're a subscriber, you always own version 5.
Also at any time you can go to the support page on the Stardock site, enter the email you used to register, and Stardock will email you all your info, and download links. I still get my info, and download link to WindwBlinds 1.x.

And, you can also request a CD of Object Desktop while you're a subscriber. All you pay for is shipping, and media cost.
