Wierd Startup issue

Hi,

I have been running Windowblinds 73047 for a few months flawlessly. All of a sudden it will not start with windows. The service starts and is running fine but it will not load until I run the EXE and apply a theme. Then I am only good until I reboot. I don't "think" I did anything to compromise the installation and I ran a virus scan and everything is clean. Any ideas or should I try uninstalling and reinstalling?

If you can, please update Windowblinds. This is an old issue taken care of in one of the recent updates.

question does it have a blank colored screen after the welcome screen of windows ?
normaly there is a background color for the desktop defined by any windowblinds skin...
Or does it load aero and then applys the defined skin ?

NVM after reading snowmans comment i know the problem is different from mine...

 Have you updated/installed any security apps that may be blocking WB from running at start-up? If not, a reinstall of WindowBlinds would'nt hurt anything to try it.

I get that also, sort of a very pale blue screen just before the desktop loads. It didn't do that before the last couple of updates. It looks ugly, but not a biggy.

for me it issort of a problem even if its just a short time its still annoying i have that background color for about 7 seconds thats almost as long as my windows boot up time... it was working one time right after the installation but now i always have that background again.

What version of Windows, and how did you install WindowBlinds?

@ Rosco sorry i wasnt able to reply sooner was at work- finally weekend -
back to topic i idownloaded the windowblinds exe from the stardock store and had problems the first time using my serial
Then i went to IRC where doc helped i uninstalled windowblinds and run cc-cleaner to remove the registry files in safe mode rebooted
ran windows exp index and installed again was working like a charm then after 4 days it was back to that state where it shows the background color of the skin while entering windows for 7 seconds.So i contacted Stardock support and got a  clear_wb_settings registry file and downloaded the installer again .
I uninstalled WB and used the reg file after a reboot and installed WB once more and now its working again.
The problem seems to be gone for now but i will keep you informed if it gets back any time soon.
-to what windowblinds version: The first iinstaller was the WindowBlinds730_enhanced_setup and the one i downloaded recently is the same

The funny thing was that the normal Aero was loading directly while others like Win8 metro didnt...
