Skinny Fence misses icon

Hi all,

Just got Fences Pro and installed it.

I noticed that if you make a really skinny Fence (only wide enough for one icon), with multiple icons in it, Fences Pro skips every *second* icon... It is as though Fences Pro wants to create a matrix with a minimum width of 2 icons.

For example, create a fence with 8 icons in it. Make the Fence big enough to show a 2 x 4 icon grid. Now squish the Fence horizontally until you only see one column of icons. The right hand column is there... but you can't get to it.

Weird...

Hmmm.  I use Pro and when I narrow the window, a scroll bar appears and drops all icons into a single vertical column.

See, that's the weird part. When I narrow the window (if it's not tall enough) a scroll bar appears, but not all the icons show?

Here are a few screenshots showing this. As the Fence gets narrower, the right hand column of icons is.... gone?? (Not really, just hiding inside the Fence)

Also, if I select and delete the four visible icons in the 3rd image, the other 4 icons are dropped out of the Fence and onto the desktop??

I'm running Fences Pro v1.1.0.419

Cheers,

It may have to do with the size of your desktop icons.  Right now, the math is based on having "Medium" sized icons.  Try changing that and see if it works for you.  Also, what OS are you using?

Hey Rosco_P,

Yup, that was the problem. I had my icons quite small, using a 1440x900 laptop doesn't leave a lot of "desktop" for anything otherwise.

Running Win 7, SP1, Fences Pro.

I had a hunch.  I believe this is already on a list somewhere to look into in future builds, but I don't know how high it is.

I have a more recent build; and this problem still exists. It is driving me rather crazy. I've reported it to support - more than once - but, so far, no joy. One should not have to find an icon size (and perhaps icon spacing) that Fences likes.
