windowblinds and left sided systems buttons(max/min/close)

Hi,

Working on a theme with buttons on the left, I found that either firefox last versions aren't handling system buttons (close/max/restore/min) in a conventionnal way or windowblinds has a problem with it.

What's the answer guys ?

(of course I tried others left sided buttons themes)

Unfortunately Firefox likes to do its own thing, as far as I know there is no resolution.  :(

Some of the browsers are encroaching upon the Titlebar these days, placing what used to be the 'File' menu under a button at the left end of the Titlebar in certain configurations.  At least in Palemoon, which is a version of Firefox, enabling the Menu Bar removes that button & restores what appears to be a normal Titlebar.  HTH.

Well thank you for your time and the answers as I never tried that menu bar option.

I'll have to make a right sided one to allow skin swapping per rule based in settings !

Ideally, a substyle with right-sided buttons that could be used per app would be a workable solution.  However, the implementation of per app skinning is a little dodgy just now.

In that department I've noticed some weird things pertaining to firefox but I just can't figure it....

It seems that this software wasn't just not enough non compliants with standards, babylon translator cannot "read" anymore inside the window but windowblinds also shows some strangeness... My system is a windows 7x64. The skin I'm working on has for now only per pixels frames set in the vista/7 part of the skin with basic (non designed yet) frames for xp part : how an application, firefox, is able to use (choose) wich part (and substyle) to use to skin caption ????

Take a look at Sabertooth, one of the skins that comes with WB.  It uses left-sided control buttons but puts them on the right side for Palemoon (a version of Firefox) automatically.

I am wondering how it is done... I'm walking thru the skin hoping to find out how !

Last year I've made a post about the lack of manual by Stardock, ThIS is clearly a nice demonstration of their skinners poor support !!!

I must confess I haven't looked myself, but could it be a substyle the is being used per app?  I'm not aware of a 'toggle' in the skin code.  I suppose it could be a conditional visibility setting but I'm not sure what it would be conditioned on.
