DektopX Problems After System Recovery

A couple of weeks ago I had to do a complete System Recovery. My DX was working fine, I just had some unrepairable problems in the Windows system. After the recovery none of DX's shortcuts work anymore. The menu system won't show the menus, and the shortcuts that are visible without being attached to a menu don't work either. There is only one exception I've found to this circumstance. Airlock by gef still works. I've tried my personally-configured themes that I saved and downloaded fresh copies and neither except for Airlock work. Just so happens that Airlock is not one that I had configured so I've been stuck with nothing but IconX running ever since the recovery. IconX shortcuts work fine BTW, but they're the only ones.

Any help sure would be appreciated. Take care.

It sounds like an uninstall -> reinstall of DX is needed.
Some settings/information required by DX might have gotten "lost" in the recovery.

I did try that Snowman. I think I may have the problem close to solved now though in any case. I uninstalled again and installed the latest final version, instead of the beta, and I seem to have my menu functions back working properly. Still a couple of things not working quite right, but I'll play with it before I ask for anymore help. Thanks for the reply. Take care.

Well, this will give anyone who ventures in here a king-sized giggle, but I figured out why I was having the problem with shortcuts not working. Pretty simple really. I had all but given up on ever getting my DX to work with menus again, so I put together some objects with IconX turned on. When I got that pretty much the way I wanted it, I opened "Configure DesktopX" to set it to start up automatically with Windows. I noticed another option right next to that, "By Default, Start Command on Single Click or Double Click." Duh! The newer versions of DX are shipped with "Double Click" turned on! I sat here single clicking till my clickin' finger was sore and never once got a menu to activate!

So now all is well. There ya go for anyone so easily defeated by some damn software setting as me! Have a good'un.
