(RESOLVED) my windowblinds problem with killer network..

ok.. so i love my windowblinds! it was one ov tha first things i put on my brand new alienware windows 7 64 bit laptop.. cool new version from impulse & finally can play with tha windows 7 skins.. (my XP iz still going fine) ..so after a couple ov days i started to receive messages about "Windows handle" errors.. & a warning in windows 7 code language that i don't kno my way around.. tha skin lost it's grip, i could no longer open it or any other programs, i even lost tha shutdown button, all tha while recieving that windows handle error message!! so after going completely insane with my reality (restoring to factory image, etc) i worked out oh no! it's my favorite program!!! can anyone help with this!? cheers..

one thing that would help is to open WB click on the "about window blinds" tab, copy to clipboard and paste the results to the thread. it may not provide a clue but it is a good place to start.

Did you install via Impulse or standalone installer?

There is an updated standalone installer (build 310) which may help, but if you use Impulse then it will not be up until later today.

I would wait until later today when it indicates there is an update to WB.  Then install that, reboot (probably) and apply a skin.

Hopefully all will be well.

If not more information on the issue would be useful.  In particular which app gives the error messages which may be shown in the titlebar.

I didn't want to start a separate thread, so I'll ask it here. Something got corrupted last night with Windowblinds and I had to do a reinstall, everything is working fine again. While I was in Windows7 "programs", for some unknown reason I clicked on my IconPackager. In order to uninstall it, the message said I needed the Impulse engine, which I removed about a month ago. If I ever had to uninstall/reinstall this program, is there a way to do it without Impulse.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Check this post out - https://forums.wincustomize.com/409931

Stardock is working on a new system for downloading and installing the ODNT products.  No time-frame as yet.

If it was installed originally with Impulse then you must use Impulse to uninstall it copperhill.

apparently tha alienware's "Killer"network card uses tha same "handle" as windowblinds.. i have been guided to maybe try again with newer builds.. apparently when shared, either could have crashed & for me it was WB..

A simple solution after all.

Thanks for posting it. Although not new, it was overlooked.

Glad your problem was solved! :)
