[RESOLVED] This program is not compatible with your current operating system

Hi..

I've just performed a format and reinstall of Windows 7 SP1 x64 and Impulse is telling me that i'm unable to install IconPackager v4.21 as it's incompatible with my OS.

When did this happen as it was working perfectly fine before I reinstalled Windows?

If someone could let me know of a workaround to install IP that would be great as I do kinda rely on it for many custom icons.

I have a full license for the application.

Cheers...

Nick :)

Best to send an email to support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket.  They will resolve whatever issue that is causing this.

Post your ticket number here and wait for a reply from a tech to keep your position in the queue.

Hankers correct me if I'm wrong but thought for a new computer or in this case doing a format and new install of the OS you had to go to the Stardock store and get the programs.

I believe in this case the best approach is through Stardock support.

It would be very handy if I could do that but i'm only able to download IconPackager v5 from the main page.  When I go to the store section, i'm able to download v3.20 enhanced but there is no download for v4.  It shows my valid serial but it says it was an upgrade.

4 days on and still no reply from Stardock.  I haven't even had an autoresponder.

I sent my email on 20th Oct to support@stardock.com.

Is there any chance someone in the forum can help me please?

Two of those days were the weekend and support are off at that time.

Also, there seems to be an issue with the auto-responder ticket number generator that will be looked at this morning.

There are no Stardock support personnel available on weekends.  They are a Monday through Friday operation (holidays excluded), so you will probably have to wait at least a couple of more days.

I got the email.  Thank you.

Thanks for the clarification regarding IP v4.  I'm a little disappointed that Stardock have decided to prevent the installation of that version onto Windows 7.  Especially when IP v5 is identical in pretty much every single way...as far as I can tell so far.

It looks like i'll be upgrading my license to the latest version..it would be cool if Stardock would consider a discount if possible :)
