Desktop x Client Problem

I have Desktop X installed I have checked the box to run at windows start up.

The problem is in the last week this does not work, I have checked the settings they are correct.

I have to manually start desktopX everytime I re-boot or logon after logging off this is frustrating.

I have even uninstalled Desktop X still no luck

Is there a registry setting, if so what is it step by step please

Run msconfig and check under the startup tab.  Alphabetize by name to make it easier to find.  You should see desktop X Widget.  I'm not sure how to get it in there if it's not already on this list, but make sure it's enabled.

Desktop x widget is not there, I looked.

Now there must be away to get this back

What is the regisrty entry for this help please

OldMSGT, DX runs for me at startup. But I had to force it to. Do this:

 

Go to your DesktopX installation folder, right click DesktopX.exe, choose create shortcut.

 

Move that shortcut to the startup folder. Don't copy it, move it.

 

Also, this won't work with the DesktopX shortcut you might have on your desktop.

 

Voila!

 

Depending on your OS as to startup folder location. I'd find it in the start panel, righ click it, choose open.

Found answer

Looked at my Laptop.

I had to place a shortcut to Desktopx in C:\user\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\startmenu\programs

everything is now fine
