invalid serial number

I renewed my object desktop subscription and when I try to install Skinstudio (5) professional it just tells me invalid serial number and tells me to make sure I have the lastest copy of program from the site and to copy past your serial number to avoid typing in wrong well I have done that all and nothing works just tells me the same that that the serial number is invalid. I have sent a support ticket to Stardock but wondering if anyone has had this issue and if it can be solved from user end. Can anyone help with this or have to wait for stardock to reply?

Meantime, are you installing via Impulse or the Stardock store?

Ok, just checking to be sure you weren't trying to put the serial key into the trial version. That wouldn't work.

The download page is alphabetized, so v5 comes after 7, which could cause a mix up.  If you want to install the latest version, I've made a handy guide:

As long as we are on the subject, SKS 5 isn't showing in my SD Store list. It is showing in Impulse. I may never use it, but I'd like to have it available just in case.
