Impulse, games, confusion...

Hey everyone.

I've been reading a lotta posts here, and other places by googling a little, but I cant seem to find the right answer, and been reading that Impulse is dead? Or discontinued? Sorry, but I'm just getting alittle confused here.

Lately I've been unable to login to Impulse. I get the message "Server not responding, please check your internet connection".

But my connection is fine, and Impulse have worked fine in the past on this computer and connection. I havent logged into Impulse for a couple of months tough.

I've tried reinstalling several times with many different versions, still no go. I'm just stuck at the Login window.

I have a couple of games on Impulse, Sins of Solar Empire and Supreme Commander + expansions to both games. When I access my account info through Stardock, it only shows Sins of Solar Empire, and that I need to use Impulse to access it, wich I cant.

I'm sitting on Windows 7 64 bit, and as said, its worked fine in the past.

Sorry if this have already ben answered, or if this is the wrong place to post it, but I cant even access the Impulse forums through www.impulsedriven.com.

Cheers.

End of DrJBHL's quote

I have already been there, and reading through it a couple of times. What I get from it, is that its mostly for apps only, and not games.

Even in the OP, it says:

"What about my games?"

If you've purchased any Stardock gaming titles (GalCivII, Sins, Demigod, Elemental), those will still be handled through Impulse.  This site is for non-gaming software only.

Wich birngs me back to my problem, with not being able to connect to the Impulse servers, so I can get the games.

When I log into my Stardock Store account, I only see Sins of Solar empire listed under products.

But when I check the Print invoices, I see all the games I have purchased through Impulse, but there are no download link anywhere.

I'm probably missing a hint to my problem somewhere, but I'm staring myself blind on it atm.

My first suggestion would be to check/disable any security software you have running.

Otherwise, you need to contact support@impulsedriven.com.

Impulse got full access through all security software and router, but theres just no connection to their servers.

I've emailed support now tough, so guess I'll play the waiting game for now.

Cheers

One thing to check is that your system time and date are correct, as this could interfere with the authentication.
