Minor Races

Just wondering here if it is possible to give the minor races custom planets/star systems?

 

The reason I ask is I think the whole naming convention for minor races in this game is incredibly stupid and kinda nonsensical. I mean Akilians with system and planets all called Akilians.

 

Id like them to have real star and planet names.

No. While it is possible to mod minor races a great deal (including giving them the ability to colonize), the naming system they use appears to be hard-coded in. There is no way to avoid it other then manually renaming their planets and star systems in-game.
