Create Account Impulse for Update issue

Hi,

Yesterday I bought DG. Awesome game btw. I'm trying to update it, but I get a message that the server isn't responding when trying to create an account on impulse. Here's what I'm doing:

1) I entered the update serial (located on back of booklet)

2) Opened Impulse.exe

3) Entered new account & password

I wait.... and get thye message: Server not responding. It isn't blocked by my firewall.

Hello and welcome to DG! Always nice to see new blood :-)

First I can tell you that the problem is right now the company are moving servers and they will not be up untill mid next week (2-3 days) accordingly to the last info. So you simply have to wait. Which sux I know.

You can play on gameranger meanwhile if you like. But that will be unranked.

Then I would like to welcome you, and give you a heads up. Just because you WILL run into elitist and biggots here who dont accept you into their games cause you are new. Ignore them. There are alot of us who rather play with new people who are fun. Then Older exellent players who behaves like jackasses.

 

Hosting a game yourself or joining a game that says "beginers" or the like is a good thing.

This is a great community, with everything from fun and cool people, to idiots and quite and the totaly mentaly instaine....thats me.

 

Welcome, and look me up if you want games. My guess is wednesday you can play, and you should from Impulse cause it gives you statistics over how you are doing.

Impulse is the only means available of updating the game. If you're having issues with Impulse, please contact support@impulsedriven.com.

Until servers are up again you won't be able to play the game except in single player mode or through gameranger, but then your version won't match anyone elses without updates so still you will only be playing single player. When the servers are up again you should get a game going...there's like 100,000 people playing and usually 200-500 games hosting, so you'll have a hard time deciding which one to join.

Wait for the servers and then you'll be playing within a matter of minutes!

Welcome to the forum. =)

Well, I don't know why Running_Lukas is writing false numbers, but it's more like 100 people playing and 2-5 games open at best.

This is a very small community and you will know most of them quickly.

When the servers are up again and you have updated to version 1.3 I would recommend to download and install the combined mod installer from here:

There are all the mods you will need for playing if someone host with a mod.

You just have to install, not enable them. Exept for the UI Mod which should be enabled always since there is no problem if other have not installed it.

Thanks for welcoming me. I have a fast connection so am willing to start a few games. Unfortunately I can play max 3 per evening, due to labor. (I work at home) Meanwhile I'm playing offline, just to learn how to play the game.

After the update I will install the mods etc.
