Attention Everyone

It has been a while since I've posted on this board, and in light of the recent events that occured almost a week ago, please listen to what I have to say.

Events that took place have devastated many, many people, and I hope all of you have gotten in contact somehow with those you love...and I also hope all is settle well with you.

Much hatred runs in the veins of many people, especially directed towards the American-Muslims. I only ask a favor from all of you.

Please, under any circumstances, no matter how much you hate at the moment, don't harrass our dear friends. They have nothing to do with this whole situation, and like the rest of us, there was nothing they could've done to prevent such tragedy from happening. Take this, if you will, and spread it out among your neighborhood, your community, your friends, and everyone else around you, friend or foe.

Thanks .

May this event be viewed upon as victory for freedom and America

Well said, Elf.

I work in a retail environment. Here in Columbia, there is quite a large number of Pakistani and Afgani immigrants. It is horrible to watch people's reactions to these *American citizens* when they walk into our store.

I'm a technician/installer, not a salesman, but I find myself going up to these people and initiating conversations because *no one else will*!

I would dare to say this attack managed to greatly accelerate the hatreds and prejudices arlready present in our country.

It is sad to see the thousands who have died in Tuesday's attack; worse even is the hundreds of thousands, or even millions, who will be persecuted in retaliation.

The bad thing is how this retalliation is portrayed as a "good" thing. Blegh! Anyhow, racism and prejudice is one of those community diseases, I doubt children have these thoughts. It's their parents (and other "adults" in their circles) that teach it to them.

/me goes bite his tongue again

The inconcievable horror of the attack. That is why people react with hatred.

For everyone that is unable to distinguish between fanatical terrorists and innocent people because of the way they dress or their ethinic origins or their faith, there must be at least a hundred more that can make the distinction.

The people with level heads and good judgement are needed to watch for hate crimes and discrimination wherever they live and try to put reason into the situation. As Elfkura said, spread the word in your communities to not be blinded by hatred. There is a real enemy and many of them are among us. They are not Muslims and they are not Arabs. They are monsters with an intention to destroy our way of life. If we attack our own innocent neighbors, we are only aiding the cause of terror.

what worries me is when i watch tv and see kids no older than the age of 5 burning american flags, they dont understand what theyre doing, theyre learning to hate the west before they have a change to see what its really like
