DX has basically quit working

Since I downloaded the update a couple of days ago, my desktop x has deteriorated consistently. It started with my customized thems and has eventually affected the original thems I have had downloaded for some time. Animations havestopped, graphics disappear, transparent pink isn't transparent in spots, and a lot more I can't remember. Is there something buggy about the latest update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no affect. If anything, it was worse.

I also can't save any themes since the update and the properties for a item does not allow for target file, I can't set target !!!

There do appear to be many bugs in the latest beta version of dx. Here are some of the things I have encountered:
meters using the bitstrip display method don't work
objects using animated mouse away/over states don't appear to work
script documentation is unreadable by acrobat
volume and position sliders/faders for dxplayer plugin seem broken
iconX icons expand on mouse over, but do not shrink back on mouse away

The new version of dx has introduced another boatload of functionality and I presume the problems we are encountering are "teething" troubles that will be rectified in future releases. Remember, if you are, like me, using the latest beta versions of this software then there is no guarantee that everything will work

The safest thing to do is to archive every version you download, and in the event of bugs cropping up, roll back to the last working version. Having said that, dx development seems to proceed extremely rapidly and I am sure another version will be released soon to address some of these issues.

Thanx Tiggz. Had it in mind that was probably the case. Definitely waiting patiently for more updates. Mainly it is good to know it probably isn't just my machine. That was my main concern.

mine as well....I now have problems with clicking the icons on the desktop with memory errors (when I have over 50% free and never had this problem before). The same things work fine if I clik on the quick launch or launch trhough programs...

need update quick...
