Start Menu problem Windowblinds 7.2

Cropped Start Menu?!! Please help!

Please help.   :(

I'm a fan of windowblinds and have downloaded some really great user-created themes. However for some reason quite a few of them seem to be having the same issue with my start menu.

When I click on the start menu button the whole start menu will display correctly for about one second, and then the top and sometimes the bottom of the start menu would blink and disappear. The middle of the start menu, with my icons and programs always shows, however the background of where my user picture is, or where the search box and shutdown/restart buttons are vanishes. It looks like my start menu has been cropped.

This is quite a disappointing issue, as many user themes have a really nice border effect that this problem negates. If anyone can assist me I'd be appreciative.  :)

Are you using XP skins? The windowblinds in the gallery will usually say which OS they are for.

Most newer ones are for all three. But some are 7 only.

The skin I'm using seems to indicate that it's for both Windows 7 and Vista.  (It has little icons over it in the preset menu. One is a window's flag- I'm taking that to mean Windows 7, and the other is a window's orb- which I recognize as my default start button, so I'm thinking it means Vista.)

What skins is this happening with?
It does sound like a 'local' problem, like graphics drives, since no one else seem to experience these problems.

It's happening with at least two skins. FLASH- Live System, a really beautiful one, and my favourite, by Gucalov Pavel (MrPaul), and Xignate by Imzadi. I think there's others as well, but those two are the only ones I can think of for now.

HHmmm...Win 7 64 bit. Flash Live System working fine. I can't seem to download Xignate.

Flash Live System works fine here too. Win7 64

Then it must be just me...  :(

I didn't really think it was a theme issue though. Both themes appear very well made. Seems that it's something to do with my vista- but I've no idea what.

I'm getting this with Xignate, too.

On both Flash Live System and Xignate, the top part of the startpanel is comprised of multi frame animations. I'm guessing that current versions of WB don't handle it well. Most skinners now use the animation builder and add the animation as an overlay rather than have it built in.

It sounds like you know what you're talking about, 2of3.  :)

Any ideas on how to fix it? I just love Live Flash, and it rather spoils it for the start menu to do this.
