Hmmm, this looks like a problem.

When you say you updated last week, by chance were you running the trial version and then updated to the full or paid version?

You should probably email support@stardock.com they can sort it all out for you.

You should open Impulse and Verify Windowblinds installation by Going to "My Software tab>Windowblinds>Shift + Rightclick>Verify Installation.

If it requires repair, Impulse should fix the problem and you will be asked to reboot. This is a subscription and not the trial edition, correct?

A little off topic but I find that to be an interesting comment.....maybe Stardock Central will be making a come back.

Actually thats just a leftover.

The original poster should indeed reactivate the product though I would have expected WindowBlinds to have prompted for reactivation on apply anyway.

it's gotten even more bizarre. Now when I try to log in to support, it says my e-mail address is no good yet they sent me an e-mail at that address. I paid for and registered this whole thing a year and a half ago. I have uninstalled both impulse and windowblinds several times. And I get the same results every time. I just sent an e-mail to start out support and hope I will get some sort of answer back.

When I reinstall Windowblinds it does not ask for me to register.

Before someone says it has to be per year, I am paid till 11/2011.  It says that in Impuse. I can also see my registration number for windowblinds just fine.

For the Object Desktop subscription it's valid for one year from the purchase date. For stand alone Windowblinds it's not a one year subscription but rather a major version purchase like most software. If you purchased Windowblinds 6 then Windowblinds 7 would be an "upgrade". If you purchased 7 then it should work and you'll need to contact support@stardock.com Note that they're closed until Tuesday for Memorial Day.

I still haven't heard from Stardock.  After many uninstalls, reinstalls with the same results, I finally ran two of there old files and it fixed it.  I ran the stardock_access.bat and the fix_registrations.reg.  Now Windowblinds is again working just like it used to, no thanks to stardock.  I have no idea what changed to cause this to happen.  Windows 7 and it's permission is just F___ked up.
