When I install WindowBlinds and choose skins other than "Windows XP style" or "Windows Classic", my Google Japanese Input fail to launch.

It seems to happen if I chose skins like "7 Plus" by adni18, "Eminence" by Zero, or "Diamond" by Stardock Design: all of these are alpha-channel enabled skins, using transparency.

"Google Japanese Input" is an IME for Windows and Mac OS X (Google provides "mozc" for Linux on open-licensed); Here's a little explanation from Wikipedia <https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Google_Japanese_Input>.  Although, Microsoft Office IME 2010 works perfectly.

I've asked a question at Help Forum of Google Japanese Input.  A Google developer said, WindowBlinds's wbsys.dll is inappropriately designed since it depends on other DLLs which are not initialized, during the load time.

How to reproduce the issue:

  1. Install Google Japanese Input from <http://tools.google.com/dlpage/japaneseinput/eula.html?platform=win&hl=ja&extra=dev>
  2. Install WindowBlinds then choose a skin expect from "Windows XP style" or "Windows Classic".
  3. Reboot
  4. Launch Google Japanese Input with key-bind Ctrl+Shift.
  5. The error dialog box appears like this:

Environments: Windows XP Professional SP3 (32 bit), Google Japanese Input Dev 1.1.717.100, WindowBlinds 7.20c, McAfee Total Protection Service 5.0.0 Patch 6 (scan engine 5400.1158), Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.10, Windows Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702, Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1, eBoostr Pro 4.0 (build 554), Dropbox 1.1.24, BOINC Manager 6.10.58, etc...

Again, Google Japanese Input works fine if I choose "Windows XP Style", but why should I choose normal XP theme under the WindowBlinds?  I'd like to customize my Windows XP so I bought Object Desktop.

Does anyone else encountering an issue like me?  Are there any Japanese-capable readers?

Thanks in advance,

you can also use WB in a 'per application' to set WB to no skin your J-IME until something can be worked out

Yes, I've already set Google Japanese Input-related applications as excluded in "Per application" settings.  Unfortunately, I have no way to specify DLLs to exclude.

Excluded apps are: GoogleIMEJaBroker32.exe, GoogleIMEJaCacheService.exe, GoogleIMEJaConverter.exe, GoogleIMEJaRenderer.exe, GoogleIMEJaTool.exe.  And, chrome.exe, chrome_frame_helper.exe, chrome_launcher.exe and nacl64.exe are also excluded because of Google Chrome issue.
