DesktopX Help (please!) - Zoomer Confusion

Hi All,
Downloaded DesktopX 3 days ago and have already completed one very simple theme of my own.
I wish to make a very special theme (topsecret right now ; )
but am totally confused about zoomers. I understand them in theory, but application has come to a grinding halt.
Needless to say, there only seems to be the single *pitiful* OEM tutorial on the net (if I am mistaken, PLEASE don't hesitate to tell me so).
Would someone want to be a hero, and whip up a monkey proof tutorial for making (and saving) a zoomer, using, say Photoshop (I have this, but am not good with it yet) or PSP (have this and AM ok with it)?
I would be grateful...
