First step to fixing multiplayer

Bought the game to a friend when it was on sale. We played a few games in multi-player mode.  Playable but mostly frustrating.   Here are a few things that would remove a lot of that frustration:

• Somehow during your turn, you can't build or do anything anymore.  Counter is not running on end-turn button.  Happens often and is very, very frustrating.  I understand the need for a time to automatically end a turn when all human players are done, but you should be able to play during your turn.  Maybe it was because it's calculating turn events?!
• When I play with a friend, I want more then 10 seconds before auto-end turn.  Make it an option
• When I play with a friend, I want the 'Battle' mode to be available.  I HATE auto-battle.  If I battle it myself I don't loose anybody, but if auto-battle, I might even loose.

Just those 3 would already be a great step in letting us enjoy multi-player mode on a great game.
