Baron unit has champion's portrait

All of a sudden the Baron unit decided he wanted to become a she and liked the "look" of this champion - so he adopted her portrait.

Maybe he likes to dress in drag on his days off. Did you ever think of that?

LOL. He can do what he wants in his free time but he's on the job here - and his employer isn't too happy with his shenanigans.

Haha.  Yea.  This game has strange bugs about how it remembers little details, like your custom faction colors, they change a lot, and portraits...

I'm so glad you brought up the custom faction colors. I bring up that bug a lot but I think I'm the only one complaining about it so it hasn't been fixed yet. I guess most people play with the vanilla factions so the colors not being saved doesn't affect them. The game also doesn't save portraits when you have a horse equipped. Have you noticed that? That's another one that drives me nutz.  X(

Yeah, you're right. I've never played with a custom faction (other than Expanded Factions once right before the 1.2 beta series) so I've never seen this as an issue.

Don't you get bored using vanilla factions, especially since we can't play with mods? I like to play with the different colors in the custom factions, now I'm changing armor colors (shows how bored I am). Mainly, you get a wider variety of perks for your faction, which is probably overpowered, but so what, it's more fun.

Its not really overpowered, those perks don't really add up to much.  you are just picking what color sprinkles to put on your vanilla ice cream.  you'll find that you can't make anything with the faction creator that really adds up to a much different experience.

Seriously, it is clear that portraiture needs to be fixed on the way to ver 1.3. It is rather silly that it is often difficult to distinguish between a female sovereign and a male grunt. It has led to some embarrassing moments on the tactical screen when I accidently selected the wrong one.

In short, yes. But that's why I'm a big fan of the mod community!   I'd like to see 1.2 here (as bug free as possible mind you) so I can stop playtesting and focus on enjoying the different mods.

Completely agree the factions need more differentiation in the vanilla package - until SD has time work on that piece, I'm relying on the mod efforts. Totally enjoyed playing Expanded Factions right before the 1.2 beta series.
