Attention Notice

Hi, I just recently used object dock, and i use it as a replacement for my taskbar, however..

I was wondering if there is an attention notice because i use AIM and other programs, but cannot tell if a person IM'd me or not. Is there a way to bring the objectbar up when theres a notice, or at least keep the attention effect to infinity? or at least a attention notice icon on the task-buttton?

Not for the shortcut itself. You could enable the system tray to show the notify icon there (if the application has one).

But i'm using the taskbar, it won't let me use the tray and taskbar at the same time

Taskbar = the tray where all the running apps are..

for example

Objectdock:

taskbar | shortcuts

I don't think its possible to have both the taskbar and system tray on at the same time

ex: taskbar | shortcut | system tray

But either way, i was figuring out a way to set the attention notice time to infinity in the taskbar, because when I use AIM, and when someone IMs me, it would only bounce for a couple of seconds and just stop. So i won't notice if sometime IMed me unless i check every so once in a while.

the Window's default taskbar continues to flash on a continuous loop until i click on it

Is there anyway so i can make it so: attention notice on infinite loop until i actually focus on the application?

Windows 7, but i dislike the the group icon built into windows 7, so i formatted to look more like XP/vista

I believe he's using the free version or a single standard dock and you have a choice of EITHER tasks or systray but you can't have both.

Not on the same dock or tab if you're using tabbed docks. I suggest making a 2nd standard dock with just the systray and nothing else. You can reduce the icon size down to 16x16 or whatever you like) and set it off to the side of your other dock.
