mana and battle

Heya, I like elemental allot however there are a few little things I'm a bit annoyed with. The first is the way your spellpower get's saved up in a resource (in 1.11) I liked the system of 1.00 allot better. Is there a way or a mod that changes that? Because I notice myself saving up the mana resource and not using spells in battle at all... which makes it allot slower and a repetition fest..

The second thing is the speed at which the battles take place, is there a way to speed them up? It's really slow and repetitive, not in the least because you can't/won't use magic since you want those for the "big" enchantments and not used on general mobs.

1) Yes, there is something called essence which is still hooked up everywhere, but not displayed any longer when selecting a unit.

2) You can give everything more damage, or take away health from everything.
