Impulse Update has virus in it

The lastest impulse Update is stopped by AVG 9, with the notice that it contains Win32/Zperm.  AVG says it has had no notices of false positives on this virus or Stardock's site.  Stardock needs to check its update server for this virus.  If you let it run for a while, eventually the update bulls it's way through -- but I'm definitely going to run a full antivirus check tonight.

Just an update -- the Impulse window eventually loads, but when checking for Object Desktop updates, Impulse tries to update again -- triggering more antivirus warnings.  Checking for updates is impossible right now.  Stardock definitely needs to check this.

OK, I agreed you guys are right.  Here's how I got the update to work:

1) Go to Tools > Advanced Settings

2) Highlight PUP (Potentially Unwanted Programs) Exceptions

3) Add the following exceptions:

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\Impulse.exe (check the Any Location box)

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\ImpulseSelfRefresh.exe (check the Any Location box)

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\CleanImpulse.exe (check the Any Location box)

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\7z.dll

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\ImpulseMini.exe (check the Any Location box)

Thanks for the help guys, both you and those who posted in the other suggested thread.
