Endwar Reg issue

Hi all, New to the form and actual purchase on impulse.

Here it is: I bought Endwar for PC using impulse and it downloaded and installed just fine... now when I try to play it either from my computer (the containing folder) or Impulse... this is what it does... ask for an activation code (why the heck not just the serial I dont know) I say I need a code, it trys to connect to the server and that is where I hit the high and scary brick wall...

this is what I see EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL.

Now I am sure this is alllllll Ubisofts problem... I cant even create an account to login to their forms... so I am hoping someone here has found a fix... or maybe I should ask impulse for my money back and just acquire the game by other means... (I hate the last option...)
