GalCiv 3?

What's the chance we're getting one? And are we going to get multiplayer this time? My biggest problem with GalCiv 2 was that there was no multiplayer. My friend and I kept wanting to go head to head vs each other, but no dice. Can we at least get 2 player lan? Playing the ai is only so fun for so long. And it's not that onerous a burden, SMAC had almost all the features GalCiv2 has, over 10 years ago, and had PBEM, LAN, and internet multiplayer to boot.

Well, depends on if they're prepared to distrubute it through a channel other than impulse, like Steam, since Impulse is owned by gamestop now.

Distribution channel will not be the determining factor for a Gal Civ 3.  It is more of what is on their plate already, and where they want to go next.  Right now the StarDock GameDev team is focused entirely on the Elemental line, and I know they want to make Society (see http://www.societygame.com).
