HD is either 720 or 1080

look for 1080i

Other than that it looks nice. I got a similar one in 40 inch.

Just make sure to get the HDMI cables as well for best quality.

My nephew's an avid gamer and after his investigations got the Dell in the 27".....and is very pleased with it.... it met his eggsacting requirements....

I use a BenQ x900 monitor, but seeing the diagonals you people are mentioning, I'll just crawl into a corner and pretend 19" is as large as it was back when I had a 14" display.

I always support Dell monitors. I'm not a fan at all of their PCs, but their monitors are fantastic.

Samsung....I'm wary of'em since the local electronicshops in my town are flooded with Samsung panels....they flood the market with cheap, crappy stuff.

Here you can read about the best monitors at the moment. They list the best monitor for every use.

I have had a three Samsungs in my time (lcd hdtv and 1 monitor and 1 new lcd monitor) and they are great. Newest one is a lcd monitor thats 1080p and 1920x1200, 24inchs and its wonderful.

I also recommend Newegg, got some damn good deals there (also on some hardware and if I remember right a free keyboard).

The one you linked is 319$ at newegg , a little above you price but I say its good. Only missing 1920x1200 but thats me...

Campaigner- Yes your right to worry because in some stores you can easily find older models of monitors and sometimes they can be more expensive too which is wtf.

Well, I just got a 27" iiyama ProLite E2710HDSD, and I can't fault it. But the trouble with these threads is that everyone will tell you to buy the one that they have! It's human nature.

Just buy the most expensive one you can afford. B[]

http://www.digitalversus.com/iiyama-prolite-e2710hds-p357_8127_50.html <--- Their review proves the Iiyama ProLite E2710HDS(D) is mediocre. Why did you that crappy monitor?

I get the feeling people in this thread didn't check reviews and techsites before buying their monitors....
