Are they currently uninstalled? If not, please uninstall through Impulse (if installed through Impulse), otherwise through Windows Control Panel. If so, it sounds like you have some files left over from the installation. Please download the following removal utility:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/odnt_zapper.exe

This app will need to be run as admin in Windows Vista/7.

I believe it also needs to be downloaded with Internet Explorer.

Only things like .reg or .bat files. Some browsers don't handle files with 'unknown' extensions very well. You should be able to download an executable file through any browser.

They are not anywhere on here to be uninstalled. I removed EVERYTHING, impulse, object dock, and fences, before I did my reinstall upgrade of Windows 7. Now I cannot reinstall anything. I continue to get the error no matter how I try it, I run as admin, I grant full control, it still stops me in the beginning and tells me to upgrade using Impulse. The ODNT Zapper does not list any items to be removed, so I cannot use it??

Are you installing through Impulse or standalone executables? Do you have any entires for the programs listed in "Programs and Features" under the Control Panel, or under the "My Software" tab in Impulse?

No, I cannot even install Impulse. I was using standalone executables. Everytime I try to install Impulse, or Objectdock, or Fences, I recieve the error that it is already installed. I have found all the leftovers from Stardock on my computer that I can, I dont know what else to try here... :/ haha

Try downloading the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_impulse_installer.reg

save the file and run it. If in Firefox or a non-IE browser, you may have to go to File > Save Page as... if the link
shows as plain text (if you're not sure, just follow the link in Internet Explorer). Once you do this, install Impulse
from the latest installer here:

Ok so now I've got Impulse, but all I really want is ObjectDock and Fences. How do i get those now? On Impulse, when I look for My Software, nothing is listed other than My Colors, where is Objectdock if it says I have it installed already? How do I upgrade using Impulse when the darn thing isnt actually on my computer! grrr haha

You'll need to enable showing "Freeware & Demos" in the Impulse menu. Are all the directories for ObjectDock and Fences deleted?

Yeah, Dewie. I deleted everything I could find in an attempt to get it all installed correctly, I went through and deleted every file or folder that had to do with Stardock. Somehow after doing this, I dont know if I missed some or what, my Fences still work, but I cannot find the exe for it. I can still hide my desktop icons with a double click so I assume this means Fences is still working and installed? I cannot find anything related to ObjectDock, even on Impulse. When I enabled Freeware on Impulse, It showed my what is available, but ObjectDock is not on this list, and Fences is listed as " Free Version Available ", does this mean even Impulse see's Fences as not installed?

I deleted your previous post. Please, no swearing on our forums. Please note that we try to respond to email support inquiries via support@stardock.com within 1-2 days. You may get a response on the forums sooner, but it is not the official channel for support. Generally speaking, support via email is going to be a bit more in depth.

I'm not sure where you are seeing "program already installed, please upgrade using impulse", as the standalone installer should give you the option to uninstall if it detects a current installation, or will otherwise install on top of the existing installation. If you can double-click to hide your desktop icons, then you still have Fences installed. You should be able to download and install ObjectDock from here:

https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/downloads.asp

If you are getting error messages during the installation, please post them here as well as attach them to your support ticket. Once you have done that, let me know the ticket ID so that I can respond.

I contacted support six days ago (plus via the web form, and also now through sales) and still do not have an answer and am having similar problems.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

I downloaded Object Dock Plus after purchase and tried to install but can't get it to work.

Next, I opened an account with Impulse for updates but the registration code comes up as invalid. Plus, it does not detect the software.

Then I tried a uninstall and then reinstall but get an error that it is already installed.

Object Dock v2 is not in my program list and no shortcuts exist. I've found a couple of folders elsewhere (like in the library) but can't find a way to resolve this.

Do you have a workaround or tutorial on how to resolve?

Customer Level Visitor (2) did you get the page when purchasing Object Dock Plus that shows it went through and you should have gotten an email too
as for Impulse you would not use it as it has been sold to Game Stop.
you would for now any way go here stardock <-- LINK to download software you bought from Stardock..
also note only send support one (1) EMail till they respond to you as for if you send more then it will put you at the bottom of the list...
if I made any Wrong statements here please correct them. you know who you are that can...

Thanks for the reply. I bought it, got the email, tried to get it going, had issues as I outlined.

It was a purchase so I am starting a new thread since in my frustration I didn't notice this thread was freeware--just similar issue.

Thanks for responding and taking the time to put the link, etc. But already been there done that.

I have to say as a new customer, I find it a very poor experience that after six days I have not had a response from customer support. I bought software that I can't get to work and have never experienced such poor support.

Please post the ticket number you received in the auto-response email from support.

Support tickets are handled on a first-in ... first-out basis. If you sent another email to support or sales then your position in the queue would move to the back of the queue at the time you sent another request.

If you post the ticket number here I will attempt to make support aware of your issue.
