From what I hear they're trying to address the "out of memory" issues in patch 1.2 which should be arriving soon.

Hope so.  It's a little frustrating running out of memory with 8 GB of RAM

I read that it's been delayed for a bit. Sorry guys. I'm also desperate to get my hands on it.

THe game isn't really running out of memory.  It can't be.

I've had a resorce monitor up and watching, of my 12gb i'm only using 3.

It's a 32 bit game.

Since Elemental is a 32-bit game, the operating system limits the game process to 2 GB of memory.

Thank you for your reply.

I've always liked stardock games.  I'm a strategy gamer, and few companies put out good titles in that genre as consistantly as Stardock.  But this game is too buggy to be played.

Between the out of memory crashes, and the wierd bug where you can't end a turn... this game is un playable.  I cannot finish a map before the game bugs out and ruins it.

I thought the latest patch would help matters, but I am still getting to a point where the game will not advance a turn.  I'm very dissapointed and i feel like i've wasted my money on a game that cannot be played.

Patch 1.1 is quite old at this point but its successor, patch 1.2, is being made to address performance related issues specifically.

Hmm, just had an OOM exception using the new patch 1.2... Interestingly I've never had this issue with 1.1. I've just recently started playing Elemental again so I haven't been using 1.1 rigorously but IIRC this is the first memory issue I have had.
