I've seen a few patches, just wanted to check in on the improvements since November 2010. Any big changes? Sorry to put it this way, but is it worth playing now?
The devs have been working very hard to stabilize the game and it is much more stable now, although at the cost of taking some stuff out, but they also added a number of improvements, such as a global mana pool. The game is at ver 1.19g now. Ver 1.2 is scheduled to be released on March 22, I believe the game should finally be pretty stable then. I would wait until then to give it another try.
Once it is stable and they are done with 1.2, they will start adding in content for 1.3
(yay)
I want boats to do stuff ... oh yeah, and a pony. Nevermind Lord Xia, I get first dibs on a pony!
I'm waiting til 1.3 to reinstall. I figure by then they'll release that spreadsheet thing (or I'll have gotten around to buying Excel and VBAing one up) and the gameplay will be more interesting and less experimental.
I just started my first game in months, ver 1.19g(rc) and see tremendous improvement, including the AI. If v2 is due out in a few days, then expect a great experience.
