Unable To Download 1.2 Patch Via Impulse

I think the title says it all. I have absolutely no idea what is wrong. My game has just been reinstalled, registered, I have redownloaded Impulse, and I am literally starting from scratch. But here's the catch: When I first bought Trinity about a month back, Impulse worked perfectly. Now, when I try to download the patch it gets to about 68-70% and a message similiar to the following flashes up on my screen: "Download is smaller than expected". I am absolutely stumped. Do any of you have ANY idea in the world what I should do?

At least you get somewhere. I have not been able to get Impulse to connect to the server for 3 years now.

Oh sorry, should have added that you CAN at least download the whole game from here: http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx#

I have suggested before that given the large numbers of people who cannot get Impulse to do what it is supposed to, they should post this address in prominent letters atop each Impulse forum.

Oh, seems I spoke tooooo soon. Impulse Anywhere does not work with IE9. Pressing the login button elicits no response at all.

Went in fine with Firefox. Downloading now.

So, if i understand your post correctly, you installed trinity, and are then downloading the patchs?

The easy answer is ofcourse, support@stardock.com...

But... I think you should try uninstalling the game, and redownloading directly from impulse.  and not installing from the disks.

If that doesnt work, try that email address.

and ignore everything that goreshnub said.

(and goreshnub, have you tried a fresh download of impulse?  if your version is 3 years old, there is a good chance that its so old, that the servers just dont recognize it enough to bother updating it.  If not, may i suggust also pointing you to that email address.  )

edit: hmmm... just saw your other posts.  did you try disabling all your security stuff (and the windows secruity stuff) like kitkun suggusted?  Are you on wireless? you might want to try a hardline.
