Pop-up ads

Anyone know of a site that has a TON of pop-up ads? Want to really put WebBlinds's SmartBlocker through its paces.

Any chance you could add a line of code to WebBlinds that would specifically block pop up ads for X10 cameras. Ohh they are annoying.....

x10 kicks ass. Fortunately you can use their xray-vision program (free) with usb webcams, thus NOT spening $89+ on their cameras . Other than that, I have several rooms running off of X-10 modules.

Place the following in your hosts file to block the X10 ads:

ads.x10.com 127.0.0.1

More info on the hosts file can be found here:

x 10s are these crazy little webcams they advertise via 'pop-unders.' you don't know it's there until you close your browser with the close box, then lo and behold, it's not really closed because there's one last window - the x10 ad.. i'm sure some ad agency told it would be 'dramatic' ;]

According to MediaMetrix, x10.com is in the top 10 websites in traffic. So it must be working!

Depends on what you mean by working. They're only measuring traffic, which is forced upon the user by their aggressive marketing campaign. It's not measuring clicks by actual interested consumers. Anybody could be top 10 if they wanted to spend the money to place their ads everywhere. I'm not impressed. I also think they're generating a tremendous amount of ill will.
