IE9 support

Tabbed display a mess

Now that IE9 has been released (no longer beta) I thought I'd try it. Unfortunately, every windowblind I've tried with it makes a mess of the tabbed browser display. If you display the tabs seprately from the address bar they're completely unreadable. If you display them on the same line, the display is corrupted.

I want to attach a screenshot but I can't find the option to upload one.

IE9 is so buggy its a wonder it works at all. Try using Firefox or Opera. I prefer Firefox because Imageshack supports it with a small toolbar for uploads. Don't know about Opera though.

I downloaded it because Computerworld raved about its speed.  I did finally find a WB style that works -- Edge

I'm not seeing that problem gevansmd.  I'm using the Charger WindowBlind at the moment.  Which ones have given you a problem?  I'll try them out and see if I get the same thing.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit by the way.

Make sure you are running a recent version of WindowBlinds.

Post your Windowblinds info from "About Windowblinds" from the WB config window, please.

Gawd, IE9 is butt ugly! DirectDraw text rendering really sucks, too.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit.  Try Brasil as an example of one that shows a corrupted tab display.  I just switched to it to confirm the problem.  Unfortunately, switching back to Edge did not fix the display and I had to reboot to do that.

Could you provide a screenshot somehow please.  Either via a site like imageshack, using dropbox, or worst case e-mailing one to support@stardock.com.

End of gevansmd's quote

When you say corrupt display do you mean your entire windows display is corrupted?

If so I would suggest you see if there are any video driver upgrades for your card as it sounds like they could be the root issue here.

gevansmd, as I said I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and Brasil and IE 9 are working and looking just fine.

As a start I would do as Neil suggested and check to see if there is an update for you video driver.  If you are current then did you do any othe updates along with downloading IE 9?

The only things corrupted are the browser tabs, the tabs that let you access mulriple webpages in a single IE window.  The text is unreadable.

gevansmd, your browser is ie9?

If so, the javascript might be at fault (in ie9 for x64) or your drivers,

Try uninstalling ie9 x64, and install ie9 x32. If the javascript is at fault, that will correct it. If not, probably needs the driver update.
