My New Game: only $5!

Just thought this would be the perfect place to get the word out (I assume it's ok because it's in the PC gaming section). I just released my first game, an online rts shooter. :)


Right now I'm doing a promotion for it: only $5 to play. I could really use your support as this is my first release and getting the word out can be tough.

You were going to charge $30 for that?  I mean, I am not one to judge on looks, I payed a lot more for Dom3 and it was worth every penny.  And yea, it would be different if you were a long time poster here and created a game, but, dud, you are a stranger here, I have no reason to even spend $5 on your game.  Also, a RTS shooter?  What is that?  But, I guess, good luck I guess, if you are just a dude trying to get your game out there and all...I don't feel particularly mean today.

The initial $30 price is more because it's just releasing, but as an indie developer I was just hoping for some general support at that low $5 price.

I dunno. The forum is about PC games. This is a PC game. OP is quite up front and honest about it. It's not like astroturfing where he pretends to be someone unrelated who just stumbled on the game.

I don't really have a problem with it.

I'm with Tridus on this one; he's an indi developer (which is cool / supportable) and is completely up front (which is refreshing).
