Moving Starbases: Is it possible?

Hello!

I don't know if this game and scene is still active, but I'll ask anyway and hope for the best.

I recently reinstalled GalCiv2 and want to mod my for fun.

Right now I wonder if anyone ever managed to give the starbases a movement rate,

so they could be repositioned after deployment.

I already tried to give the starbase a hyperdrive and basic support unit via GC2Ships.xml

but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I guess the "Starbase-Ability" prevents this.

Anyone an idea?

I'm pretty sure that the movement rate of the starbases is hardcoded to 0, so you can't mod it. The only starbase that can move is the terror star in ToA.

However there is a cheat where you can move any ship to any location of your choice, but it's a cheat so you can't use it when playing a metaverse game.

Off the top of my head . . .

If you really want starbases to move and are ok with a move of 1, I guess you could change the starbase modules so that they can all be put on a terror star.  Build a terror star, upgrade it to taste, and putter around and 1 pc/week.  I'm sure the AI will blow up when faced with it, but you could do what you wanted with it.
