chmichael, the way features are developed (as best as I've come to understand it) is with an emphasis on functionality and style. Not saying those effects are undesirable, just that I'd not choose them for myself.

I really like WindowsFX, and I'm sure it will be developed further. Not sure about the type of effects you're seeking, though.

CursorFX has some similar effects, though... you should take a look at that. :)

There are enough animations in WindowsFX.

The animations in the video are way too much.

It would be nice ... but Linux is a bit more flexible with replacing window management and Compiz is 3D  :dur:

Well, at least animations that WindowFX 3 included and MacOS likes animations would be a great addition! (Also when moving windows)

I would suggest to make an plugin system in order "US" (developers) could make new ones.

(Like cursors on CursorFX)

I agree, I remember windowfx 2 was great! It had all the bells and whistles including shadow control.  What happened to all the animations and wobbly windows? I was extremely disappointed!
