What is Tribes 2?
Tribes 2 is a unique teambased strategic first person shooter. The game has different armour classes, accessory packs, deployable equipment, bases with base assets, and vehicles.

Background
Tribes 2 is a team based first person shooter that was released 10 years ago. Upon release it was very buggy and most people had problems running it. It was also poorly marketed thus it did not gain a whole lot of attention although those who did come across it were impressed by its dynamics. Since then Tribes 2 has been patched so the bugs are minimal (occasional Unhandled Exceptions still occur, i get maybe a UE for every 10 or 12 hours of gameplay time). The physics of Tribes 2 was also much slower upon release (skiing) which was subsequently sped up with Classic Mod which is what is played now.

It is easiest to just download the most recent build at www.tribesnext.com and install the patch which is also found there.

 

 

Signups for tourney end at midnight tonight people, thus if you want in get onto it. It is going to be a be a blast.
