Sins activation, please help!!!

Okay so I recently updated to 1.181 so I could use this star trek mod, because it required the game to be patched to version 1.181

And now its asking me to activate which is totally stupid and moronic.

It asks for my email and product code. which I bought the game at wal - mart a while ago.

i put in my email address and my code which is located inside my game box, and every time it says I have an invalid email or something?

This is really frustrating because now I can't play my game at all help!!!

This sounds very weird; if you've already updated via Impulse, you shouldn't need to do any activations to play the game.

 

EDIT:

Wait, you updated to 1.181!?  That's even weirder; you should have been updated to 1.19 or not at all.

I downloaded a stand alone because I didn't know if the star trek modd would work with anything higher, it specifically says 1.181.

I did email them but they didn't bother with a reply.

Heres the full error thing...

i think it lists every time i'v tried to activate it since I updated, I only have one email and it isn't associated with anything because I bought the game at a store not online. 

So I don't understand.

Ah, that probably explains it.  There's probably a mismatch going on where the stand-alone download is keyed to a different Impulse account.

Orphaned mods are a major problem for Sins, since they go obsolete each patch and the only officially-supported way to revert to an older version is to load up an archive... and the only way to get an archive is to make one yourself BEFORE updating in the first place.
