YAY I won...

Now what?

This is probably a noob question..... but I'm throwing it out there.

I have trolled through the boards, the FAQs, and all but can't seem to find an answer.

When you win a map in elemental it gives you points for the win. Whats the point of the points?

It seems to me like these points should pool up, like experience points,  to eventually power up your sovereigns base stats or skills. Is there something going on behind the scenes that is powering up my various sovereigns and I'm not recognizing it?

The game is so addicting... so many late nights. It feels like such a let down when you win a particularly tough map... and there's ultimately nothing in it for your favorite sovereign. your win counted for nothing. :(

Seriously though, congrats, I've yet to taste sweet sweet victory. OOM keeps slapping me in the middle of my quest for world domination.

I read the title and all I thought was "I'VE WON!" Wait for the chorus and you'll get it.

Uhm... what did you have in mind? Are you looking for some kind of cutscene or something when you win?

I think he meant some type of persistant quasi-statistical reward; perhaps some sort sort of "point vault" where he could point to and say "I love Elemental THIS much".

Or he meant an achievement of some kind. I'm just offering a guess.

Yes..,. and acheivement of some sort.

Its a strategic RPG... it seems to me like for each win the points should be used like experience for for soveriegns core stats or skills.... SOMETHING!

It just feels hollow at the end. You rule the world.... and then poof... thats it.

but then they just pop out these points.... why bother keeping score if it doesnb't do anything. Its like points in Super Mario 3... why bother?

The obvious RPG/Strategy game approach would be to have an advancment system... just like you do during play, to make your main character more powerful.

Dude, I think you have a serious issue with classical highscores, am I right? ;-)
Apart from that, some reward system sounds cool, but

a.) It also only goes so far. In the end you will have earned all rewards and the game is "dim" again.
b.) This could be extremely hard to balance. The better you got at the game, the more often you would win, the the better your sovereign would get, making it constantly easier for you to win.
So I don“t really know if it would really be such a practical idea in the end.

There needs to be a hall of fame of sorts based on the type of win you achieved.

10 best scores for each.

I definitely agree; adding a hall of fame to this game is a little detail that would add tons of replay value to Elemental for people like me who enjoy that sort of thing.
