Windows Script Error / Unable to Launch Game

I recently just purchased Elemental off Impulse and installed it and during its install, there was an error with one of the installers (windows installer it ran for something) and now whenever I try to run the game, I get a windows Script Error (before the launcher pops up) and then an Unable to launch (when I hit play game), Below are the screenshots.

 

Now I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still get this error, I've even did as it suggested and went and looked for the download for Windows Script but there's not one for Windows Vista.

I've just done a system restore and am Now attempting to install it again via Impulse. so going to be less than impressed if it does it again.

Are you able to run Elemental.exe directly?

To my view its probably a vista problem since those damn windows have way so many problems.

In order to check that, simply go to the properties of the Elemental.exe and set it to run as in windows XP compatibility and then launch the game :)

ok that was strange, I installed it a 3rd time and could run the elemental.exe

I'm slightly annoyed though that whatever that error was on the first installation, has now most likely corrupted something that I cannot repair without a re-installation of windows. (WCH 5.7 was deployed with Vista and there is no redist files on microsoft's website) because prior to this, I could launch Sins of a Solar Empire from the launcher, now it too has the same problem. at least I can go straight to the EXE's
