It's going to be a bloodbath....

Hello there. I was just wondering if anyone here plays the popular computer game, "Counter Strike". If so, I think that it should be very much fun to get a WC game together that I may violently slaughter all those that have given any of my work a low rating. If anyone's interested, post here, and if we get enough of a response we can work out the details (such as which server) later.

Cheers,

AJ

I have just installed it....testing it for my local comp shop with its network gaming....I was providing Litestep interfaces for their comps so that the kiddies couldn't get into the systems and frag them. Trouble is, it seems some menu configs require access to Exploder, the shell, in order to function, so it seems I have found the first real game to not like LiteSTEP.

Shall keep experimenting, though...

I was a HUGE HUGE fan of CS and you have no idea how much! I had a clan ( [BUD] ), we had our own server and I was, in all modesty, pretty damn good at it, especially with the MP5 (yeah, you read me right: the MP5! Not the most powerful but I dare you to get in front of me when I got one But, sadly, I decided to get away from it because it was too much time consuming. I could play hours and hours each day but couldn't find enough discipline to moderate :/ So I "divorced" from it. I now hope WC will help me forget about it lol

Jafo - I was running CS on top of Litestep, and didn't experience any problems whatsoever.

FlipNET - Come on, don't be scared, just one little fix is all you need. Can you imagine anything more fun than unloading a lovely clip of mp5 ammo into a hapless Frogboy?

How good is Max Payne btw? Been thinking about getting it.

My beef with Counterstrike are the meaningless constant updates they make. Getting a half dozen or dozen machines set up to play Counterstrike can be a pain in the butt.

AJC...I may have to pick your brains over the LiteSTEP issue....I'm still looking into it at the moment to find out where it goes potty...

Btw, we should recommend to the CS dev team to create a new skin for Frogboy. Imagine: In de_dust, you pass slowly under the bridge when WOMP! A cute little frog jumps down in front of you, throwing sharp copies of the WC Skins 2001 CD like if they were ninja stars!

Frogboy - Max Payne is absolutely brilliant. I heard it was good, so I downloaded a copy to see what it's like, and went out and bought an original the next day. I'm not big on games, so I'm pretty picky in what I keep. This is the darkest, most disturbing game I've ever played, and while not as graphic as SoF, the characters are very lifelike, and there's something very disturbingly satisfying about the cold dead look in someone's eyes after you've just beaten them to death with a baseball bat.

Jafo - Feel free to pick away, I didn't have to do anything to get it working, though it was already installed before I switched to LS, but if you can't figure it out, I'll do what I can to help.

Cheers,

AJ

Well, if anyone out there hasn't already atrophied from playing the game too much, my Gamespy Arcade ID is "AJCrowley", first name "Antony", last name "Crowley", I'm pretty sure I'm the only AJCrowley on there, and probably will be until Terry Gilliam releases the movie of Good Omens, at which point my good name (of 4 years now) will doubtlessly be sullied by hundreds of imposters and wannabes...Anyways, look me up, let's do some murder.
