UNit Armor

I am unable to design units with armor or buy armor from the shop with my sovergn. (Game version 1.11 on Vista)

I have researched the propper technology (equipment --> Armor --> Light Armor --> Heavy Armor) and have lots of materials, gold and metal. When I go to desing a unit all other items show up, but when I click the armor tab only shields show up... I have done this with multiple games now (started from scratch) and even researched up the magical armor tree...

What am I doing wrong?

What faction are you playing? A custom faction? And if that is the case, are you playing Kingdom but with units that look very bulky?

I think some races like Urxen and Fallen are not compatible with the kingdom type of faction.

What race  and faction are you using?  Waht race is your Sov?  If you play as a Kingdom aligned Wraith and try to upgrade the peasants, you can't put armor on them.  If you are using a Large race Sov for a Kingdom, you can't get armor for him/her.

Wow, never seen this either nor a single thread prior discussing the issue. Did you install any mods?

If you have the time you may want to consider an uninstall/reinstall. Maybe some of the files are corrupted. Or you could consider deleting all the files in the folders and sub-folders within the C:\Documents\My Games\Elemental directory.

I had the early version of Ravenloft mod installed, but I was able to make sovs and armies with armor probably all the way up to 1.11.... I have done a add / remove / uninstall from windows and then re-install from impulse. I guess  iwill do it again and make sure all file folders are deleted and try again.

Don't forget to delete the mod. It's not been updated, and it won't work if you are looking for a 1.11 experience.
