Include an alarm/reminder

Good evening-morning fellas.

Long story short. Have you guys (stardock) thought of adding a reminder/alarm to the OBJECTDESKTOP suite, it would be a great addition. I mean...I used to have a lil app called CHAMELEONCLOCK awesome piece of software, small, user friendly, clean & EFFECTIVE, I could configure a lot of alarms for many thing, if the soap was boiling in the kitchen I set it to remind me about it in 5 mins, if the food wasnt ready I'd just edit the alarm to remind me in 3 more mins, the same for some event in 2 weeks etc etc etc I could also use music files to play as part of the alarm....unfortunately, it seems the app has been abandoned, no support for W7, so I have been left without my fave app of its kind...now, fast forward to present days & I have tried a couple apps that arent that bad: SAY THE TIME and CLOCK ON TRAY PRO.

SAY THE TIME is the closest to old good chameleon in my opinion & has some extra nifty options

CLOCK ON TRAY not so much except for its interesting characteristic of giving your clock many different "styles" as in changing the so basic appearance of the digits to fonts like those from BACK TO THE FUTURE, BLADE RUNNER & some more

Both apps nontheless do not played very well with my windoblinds 7 (any of my themes) nothing really serious, but didn't match each other nor cooperated to well.

So, with that said, I ask-suggest-plea to Stardock developers, to include something like this in the suite, its a great option, a great idea & would make OBJECTDESKTOP more complete.

Those who agree vote

I cast my vote in favor of a DX widget which you can learn to put together and which isn't an infringement on CHAMELEON CLOCK.

As for putting Winky on it, If I understood you correctly, you might need permission - maybe not. I'd ask Jafo about that.

If you intend to sell it, I'd say you'd probably have to be a Master. If by CHAMELEON CLOCK you meant an already existing, commercially sold or even distributed free application, the chances are nil. Again, Jafo would be the address and it would be dependent, I'd imagine, upon whether it was copyrighted. If it is, the answer would most likely be "No" as the last thing in the world Stardock would entertain would be copyright infringement in any way.

You could propose your idea to Stardock and see what they have to say about it. Not sure of the correct address for that, though.

The chances of the correct person seeing this post aren't high, though.

This doesn't seem to be a Support issue. Support threads are limited to already existent Stardock apps for which such support is applicable (not free apps, in general).
