I believe that fences creates a log each time it starts for debuging upload on crash.  There is a trimlog to truncate old, unsued, unneeded data.

I spoke to the dev today.  He confirmed what I suspected; Fences writes a log constantly while running.  Every hour it trims that log to keep in manageable but saves the last hour in case you need to send it to SD for debug/fixing.
